Dr. Rivas is a pediatric physician. He completed his internship and pediatric residency at Rutgers University Hospital/Children's Hospital of NJ in 1992. He practiced initially in Austin, TX where he resided for 13 years before moving to Gonzales with his family in 2006. He has extensive experience in the care of complicated and healthy newborns as well as hospital and ambulatory care of children and adolescents up to the age of 21 years old. Beyond taking care of the whole spectrum of pediatrics he has special interests in Dermatology, Asthma/Allergies, Infectous Diseases and critically ill newborns and infants.
We offer a variety of preventative care services such as annual physical exams, vaccinations and immunizations, and wellness exams.
We offer diagnostics for many acute symptoms such as ear infections, strep throat, flu, colds, and other illnesses.
Doctor Rivas has extensive experience in the care of healthy and critically ill newborns, premature infants and children. He is a pediatrician with special interests in asthma, allergies, infectious diseases, dermatology, preventive medicine and hospital care.

Our office prides itself in seeing every patient and not closing until everyone has been taken care of for the day.
At our office you will never be turned away or not given an appointment because we are "too busy" or our schedule is "too full".
Dr. Rivas wants you to know that if your child feels sick and you consider it important that we see him/her that same day.
